The Anand Saroop Goel Excellence Award has been instituted by Mrs. Goel in loving memory of her husband, Mr. Anand Saroop Goel, a proud alumnus of BD Senior Secondary School, Ambala Cantt.
Born on May 5, 1948, Mr. Goel studied at BD Senior Secondary School from Class IV to Class X. He later pursued a successful career as an electrical engineer in India and Canada, eventually establishing his own elece foundation of his education.
To honour his legacy, Mrs. Goel established the Anand Saroop Goel Excellence Awardtrical engineering consulting firm.
Mr. Goel passed away in 2015. His wish was to give back to the school that laid th, an annual scholarship for one deserving Class XI student, recognising academic excellence and encouraging future achievers.
