To honour the inspiring legacy of Late Shri Anand Saroop Goel, Mrs. Neena Goel instituted the Anand Saroop Goel Excellence Award. This prestigious award celebrates students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, outstanding character, leadership qualities, and a commitment to excellence. It serves as a source of inspiration for students to strive for success while upholding values of integrity, dedication, and lifelong learning.
Anand Saroop Goel (1948–2015)
Anand Saroop Goel studied at B.D. Senior Secondary School from Class 4 to 10. He went on to pursue Engineering at Punjab University, Chandigarh (1965–1969), followed by a Master’s in Engineering from Roorkee (IIT).
He later moved to Canada, earned another Master’s degree, and worked as an Electrical Engineer before establishing his own consultancy, Goel Group Ltd.
A proud alumnus, Mr. Goel always wished to give back to his school. In his memory, the Anand Saroop Goel Scholarship was established in 2018 to support deserving students.

Lala Durga Charan Memorial Scholarship
Lala Durga Charan was an ardent Freedom Fighter. He spearheaded the Satyagraha movement in Ambala- a prominent British Cantonment in those days.
Born in 1888, passed away at a very young age of 43 in the year 1931.
Starting as a school teacher he was the Headmaster of CB High School n thereafter started the Desh Bank Ltd in Ambala with branches in nearby Cantonments.
He died subsequent to an Appendicitis operation.
The main road was named after him by the Cantonment Board to honour his popularity amongst the local population who had gathered there at his cremation in large nos.
